Message Master
Current Version: 1.02.09
Win32 Network Messaging Tool
Written by Jeffrey J. Peters
What it does:
Message Master is a network, broadcast-based, communication tool for Win32
machines on a LAN. It allows passing of simple messages (up to about
300 characters long) from any Win32 based machine (Windows 95, Win NT 3.5x,
4.0) to any other one, as long as both machines are connected via a network
and running Message Master. The network connection does not need
to be TCP/IP, although it can be. The message passing is provided
by the high level Win32 network protocol known as "mailslots". Communicating
via mailslots allows data to find its way to the target machine no matter
which low-level network protocols are being used (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI,
and NetBIOS...).
Message Master can perform the following operations:
-
Compose and send a message
-
Ping any machine
-
Create/Edit group names for messages with multiple recipients
-
Edit the many options to customize Message Master
